Little bit of warmth in February...

Saturday was a perfect day to relax at the beach. The sun was warm, but cool out. I read my magazines, while The Man went cast netting for mullet.

I love watching the sailboats come through the channel.

You'll always see windsurfers at Shell Point. In the summer, a guy offers free lessons on the beach.

The water was crystal clear and not too cold. I was able to walk bare foot through the water and not freeze my toes.

Flight of the Conchords Ep 3 Hiphopopotamus vs. Rhymenoceros

My best friend and I teach a VPK class together. Well, this past week we introduced the letter "Hh" to our students. With each letter introduced each week there is a story that goes along with it. For the letter H it was Holly the Hippo. The first thing that came to mind after we read this book was this song. I couldn't help myself but to post it.

Comedy in the Classroom

One of my student's got upset because someone left their water bottle on top of his backpack. So instead of just removing the bottle from his backpack, he decided to pour all the water on the carpet of the classroom.

Ms.Carin : "What are you doing with all those paper towels?

Student : "I'm going to clean up my mess."

Ms.Carin : "I don't think you'll need that many."

Student : "You told me to get more!"

Ms.Carin : "Well, when you only got one paper towel I suggested you might need a "few" more, not 100."

Student : "It's not 100, it's 50!"

"Ms. Carin! Ms. Carin! There's a bug in the bathroom!"

"Just finish going to the bathroom."

"Ugh! Fine!"

*comes out of bathroom*

"So where's the bug?"

"I flushed it. It was on the toilet. That thing could of eaten my butt!"

Front Porch Critters

I found these guys hiding in my potted plants and what not...

Backyard Beauty

I am so blessed to live in such a beautiful part of Florida. Towns not far and the gorgeous Wakulla River is across the street. Here are some pictures I took in my backyard.

Artsy Fartsy

I LOVE ART! I don't know what I'd do with myself if I wasn't artsy. It's such a great stress reliever!

Here's something I've made that you can find on my site at Cut Out + Keep http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/users/32792

This was very simple. I took a used glass candle holder I had sitting around, covered it with tissue paper, then painted a gold design on it.
